The city is the location that was once the most powerful and most spectacular fortress on the coast of Turkey, consisting of 150 towers. Alanya dating from Greek times, when called Coracesium and was led, in turn, by Romans, Byzantines, Armenians, Seljuks and Ottomans. Byzantine church dedicated to St. George, which dates from the sixth century, the row of red brick steps that are said to have been used by Cleopatra when she descended to the sea to bathe, there are other attractions that should not be missed.
The fortress is located east of the port city that shudders activity, with cafes, fishing and pleasure boats. Each part of Antalya boasts sandy beaches and gray with a lot of hotels. Since it was built the first modern motel in 1958, considered the first year tourist industry in Alanya, hotels have competed in the first stream of tourists and hotels since 2007, have 157,000 beds.
