Direct Booking is a modern booking portal that presents to the tourists offerings available accommodation at the hotels both in Romania and abroad, stays and circuits combined with presentation of destinations and landmarks in the area. Our mission is to offer tourists accurate, complete and updated information about offers and hotels, so that they make the best choice.
About Direct Booking portal
Direct Booking portal uses modern technology to inform the tourist accurately and completely. Destinations have GPS coordinates entered and locations on the map and landmarks are presented near destination (tourist attractions, shopping, transport etc) so that the tourist can make an informed assessment of both the hotel / guest house and the city or area in which he/she is accommodated.
Direct Booking portal allows tourists to make a booking for travel services (as on a e-commerce website), to see the prices, check available rooms, check availability during a period, specify the number of people (adults and children) and optional services. If we have allotments for the dates requested by the tourist, the services can be paid at the moment of booking by credit card. If the provider does not have allotments, we will contact the hotel to confirm the reservation and then tourist in order to proceed with the payment.
Online promotion
Direct Booking promotes the offer published online, through Google Ads, Facebook, Twitter and other means of promotion, so your hotel or Pension will benefit from active promotion of offers published in the portal.
What are the requirements for a collaboration with Direct Booking ?
Direct Booking offers owners of hotels or pensions a dedicated portal page where they can register their hotel and where they can publish their offer. Offers published in this site are directly accessible by tourists at rates set by the hotel.
From a financial perspective, the cooperation with Direct Booking is based on ceeding a certain percent of the final price. The fee charged by Direct Booking for bookings made in the portal is between 5 and 7% (including VAT). Direct Booking has no other fees.

How can I publish my offer in the portal ?
Open the page hotel-affiliation.aspx. Here you need to fill your data, details obout the hotel and the offer for the next period.
After you finish completing the registration form, you will receive completed affiliation agreement with all data, both online and by email, which must be signed and sent to the Direct Booking by fax at 0040214102050 or scanned and emailed to office@directbooking.ro or by mail at the address specified in the site, together with a copy of your license. In a short time after we receive the documents we will enable your offer in our portal.
How can I manage my offer in the portal ?
After the initial activation of your offer, you can always manage your hotel and offers by accessing the following page: /hotel-management.aspx. This page allows you to:
- Add or change hotel or pension information, including the image gallery.
- Change or add price intervals;
- Supplement or amend the rates for basic and optional services for each type of room and for each price period;
- For each priceing period you can set standard prices or special prices, like Early Booking or weekend prices.
- For each type of room you can easily set avaliability for a specific date range.
- View statistics and reports;

How the bookings are made from allotmens or on-request?
Both on the first registration and subsequently in the management interface, you have the option to set allotments or on-request reservations.
For every booking made by tourists from allotments, we will immediately notify the hotel about the status of the order recorded in the site. The hotel has the opportunity to notify us within two hours (during working hours) if ther is a case of overbooking.
Competitive price guarantee
The provider must publish the Direct Booking Portal competitive prices, which means that prices published on website Direct Booking must be lower than prices charged by the supplier at the reception unit or directly on its website.
Methods of payment accepted by Direct Booking
Full payment at the hotel means that the hotel will charge the tourists based on the voucher issued by Direct Booking. Direct Booking will issue a monthly invoice to the hotel with the total fees due.
Advance payment in the portal and the remaining amount paid at the hotel means that the tourist will pay a certain amount to Direct Booking (cash, card or bank transfer) at the moment of the booking. The advance can be percent (10-30%) or a night of accommodation, at which our fees will be added. The part of the payment that is due to the hotel will be transfered to the hotel.
Full payment in the portal means that the tourist will pay directly to Direct Booking (card, cash or bank transfer) at the moment of the booking. After the option date, but before the first date of booking, Direct Booking will transfer to the hotel the due amount, based on the invoice issued by the hotel.
Fees and commissions charged by Direct Booking
The rates entered by the hotel in the management interface are final sale prices, for which Direct Booking will apply a comission at the moment of the booking.
The comission will be deducted from any due amount thet Direct Booking will pay the the hotel.
Booking cancelation policy
In the case of full payment in Direct Booking, the hotel must specify at the moment of regsitration what is the cancelation deadline until which not cancelation fees apply, and what are the cancelation fees after the deadline.
