Tamarisk Land, 12 acres by the sea, has been in the family since 1850. The Tamarisk Murat Beach Hotel was first opened to tourists with 12 rooms and a small restaurant in 1984. Tourists at the time were mainly from Ankara, intellectuals, and artists at the theater and not only, who escaped from the cities for the tranquility of untouched nature, the clean air, the sea and the good life. In 1987, the hotel began operating with a UK tour operator and an international crowd mixed with locals. In 1996, the family designed the hotel as it is today and spent the next 2 years building it in the winter and opening it to their loyal guests and friends in the summer. For the next 10 years, The Tamarisk has been working with tour operators, but now, since 2009, with years of experience and building strong relationships with guests, the hotel is filled with direct bookings every year.

Family-run today, Faik, Sevilay, Gulsah and Murat are at the hotel throughout the summer season and personally welcome their tourists with a unique warmth and hospitality. Their family and friendly staff are always on hand to ensure that guests have a relaxing, enjoyable and unforgettable stay.
